A veterinarian at Jurassic Park, Gerry tends to the sick Triceratops when Drs. Alan Grant, 
Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm, Donald Gennaro, and Tim and Alexis encounter it. He explains the situation, which leads to Ellie figuring out what is wrong with the Trike. After this, the others, bar Ellie, leave; Gerry leaves the island soon afterwards, after dropping Ellie off at the Visitor’s Center.
