In The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the “unlucky bastard” was a cameo by the film’s screenwriter David Koepp. His character was briefly seen running amidst a crowd of terrified citizens fleeing from the bull Tyrannosaurus rampaging through San Diego. He was eaten by the T. rex when he dashed for a bookstore but could not get inside quick enough.
The unlucky bastard’s death was filmed in front of A & S Bargain Book at 301 San Fernando Blvd in Burbank, CA (source).
