Found on John Hammond‘s desk in his room in “The Town” (the fifth level), Hammond’s Revolver resembles a Smith & Wesson Model 40, although when the player finds it, Anne remarks, “Ah, a lady’s model,” implying that it is a Smith & Wesson Ladysmith. However, the cylinder release latch shows a strong Model 40 resemblance, as well as the lack of a hammer. Though the grip-safety isn’t visible in-game, this can be locked down in reality.
The in-game weapon fires six rounds, although the real Model 40 has a five-round capacity.
