Mauling Vs. Mechanical Trauma (C/N)

When Doctor Roberta Carter was treating the man who had been mauled by the Velociraptor, she doubted the explanation that Ed Regis gave. Due to her medical experience, she had previously worked on people mauled by animals and was able to determine that the man had not been run over by a backhoe as Regis had claimed. Her first impression was that the leg had been ripped open, and that there was no dirt in the wound, only saliva foam and a strange stench. Also she noticed that there was no mechanical trauma such as crushing. She also noticed the defensive wounds on the workman, and noted that they looked like bites.
