The Basic Tour would have been the primary attraction of Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar. Guests to the park would have boarded modified Toyota Land Cruisers which operated on electricity which would follow a set path down the roads and allow them to see most of the dinosaurs on the tour. Specifically, the vehicles passed by the paddocks which held the Hypsilophodon and Othnielia, the Dilophosaurus, the Triceratops, the Tyrannosaurus, the Apatosaurus and hadrosaurs, and the Stegosaurus before turning around. Nearly all of the animals present in the park could be seen on the tour–and Alan Grant and other did see them–but notably the Styracosaurus and Euoplocephalus were not seen on the tour or anywhere else on the island, and the Microceratops were not mentioned. The pterosaurs were relegated to their own special attraction separate from the Basic Tour.
