The 1999 Cadillac Escalade is an American-made luxury full-sized SUV produced by General Motors. The name “Escalade” comes from a siege warfare tactic in which ladders or mobile towers are used to scale the walls or ramparts of a fortress, in reference to the size and height of the vehicle.
