AKMS (S/F)

The AKMS (Avtomát Kalášnikova Modernizírovannyj Skladnoy) is a Russian-made assault rifle, a variant of the AKM. It is differentiated from the standard AKM by its under-folding shoulder stock. It was first manufactured in 1959 by the Soviet small-arms dealer Mikhail Kalashnikov. It ceased production in 1977, but remains commonly used worldwide.
