Beretta 92FS (S/F)

The Beretta 92FS is a semi-automatic pistol developed by the United States Armed Forces as a replacement for the standard Italian-made Beretta 92 in 1985. Its modifications include an enlarged hammer pin which fits under the slide, preventing the slide from flying off the frame if damaged. The U.S. military had reported defective slides during training and designed this firearm as a solution. When used by American military forces, it is officially designated the Beretta M9.
