Berner was an InGen Security Officer in charge at the InGen waterfront complex, seemingly more intelligent than most of his colleagues. He and Peter Ludlow inspected the wreckage of the S.S. Venture. When Ludlow asked about the crew, Berner replied that they were “all over the place.”
