Ed James was a Biosyn agent hired by Lewis Dodgson to shadow all the individuals involved in the Isla Nublar Incident. However, he failed to notice that Kelly Curtis and Arby Benton were aiding Richard Levine in his research for the Isla Sorna Expedition. Levine seemed to have some knowledge of James’s surveillance, although whether he grasped who James worked for is unclear. His methods of surveillance were borderline illegal, including planting bugs in Levine’s apartment.
