The FN M240B is an American variant of the Belgian-made FN MAG general-purpose machine gun manufactured by U.S. Ordnance-Defense Systems and Manufacturing. The original manufacturer of the FN MAG is Fabrique Nationale Herstal. In the United States Army, it replaced the M60 after testing against other medium machine guns in 1995.
