The JWFK digital map was definitely a mistake. Jack from Chaos Theorem visited the set and confirmed the brochure map of Jurassic World was visible there, and that the team who made the digital map referenced material that was made for JP4 before it became JW. That map had the lagoon area directly connected to the ocean, like the JWFK digital map.

Why they referenced JP4 concept art instead of the actual map, I don't know. Maybe they knew the Mosasaurus needed to escape into the ocean and something got lost in translation. But the JW brochure map is the one that should be used as far as Nublar's modern take.

For the classic version, I always liked the control room map. I never considered the brochure map since in the script, it was specified that that map was made to be cartoony and not a 100% accurate representation of the island.
