Garlic Bread (S/F)

Garlic bread, or garlic toast, is an Italian-American side dish made from bread (usually a baguette) sliced length-wise and coated with garlic and olive oil (or garlic butter) before being toasted, grilled, or baked. It was invented by Italian immigrants to the United States in the early twentieth century, though its origins are tied to bruschetta, which was eaten as far back as Ancient Rome.
