The Holding Pens were located on Isla Sorna, probably situated near the laboratory.The Holding Pens contained the dinosaurs before they were to be shipped to Isla Nublar for exhibition. However, during the DX panic, animals were let out of the Holding Pens, with intent to track them later. After the island was evacuated, any animals still remaining in the Holding Pens may have broken out in the absence of power.
