Lettuce (S/F) / (S/F-CCJW)

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a species of annual plant in the family Asteraceae, mostly known for its large edible leaves for which it is cultivated around the world. It is originally native to parts of Eurasia ranging from the Mediterranean to Siberia, and was first domesticated in the Caucasus region before being introduced to the Near East and Egypt. There are many cultivars produced today; as of 2021, over half of all lettuce production (an estimated 53%) was grown in China. It is one of the easiest crops to grow.
