Majungasaurus is a genus of large carnivorous theropod in the family Abelisauridae. It originally lived during the Maastrichtian age of the late Cretaceous period, from 70 to 66 million years ago. Fossils are found in Madagascar. The only known species is Majungasaurus crenatissimus.
