Marsupial Lion (L/M)

Marsupial lions are carnivorous mammals in the genus Thylacoleo. Their remains are found in Australia. This animal originally lived from two million until 46,000 years ago, from the Gelasian to Meghalayan ages of the Quaternary period. The type species, and largest, of marsupial lion is Thylacoleo carnifex. There are two other species: Thylacoleo crassidentatus and Thylacoleo hilli.
