A leather and wire muzzle was placed on the infant Tyrannosaur while being kept in a heated cage in the Jurassic Park San Diego complex. Used mostly for dogs, the muzzle fit perfectly over the young dinosaur’s snout to prevent any biting and other aggressive behavior. The muzzle was removed and found on the floor by Peter Ludlow just as the adult Tyrannosaur entered the cargo hold. A makeshift muzzle was made by Nick Van Owen out of his belt while he and Sara Harding were tending to the infant’s broken leg.
