Nautilus (L/M)

An unnamed species of nautilus (a cephalopod in the family Nautilidae) is native to marine caverns connected to La Caldera del Diablo, an extinct volcanic crater in the north of Isla Nublar. For unknown reasons, these nautiluses have biological immortality, with some specimens being alive for around two hundred million years before their discovery in the late 1990s. This means that they evolved sometime before the Hettangian age of the early Jurassic period.
