Pancake (S/F)

A pancake, also known as a griddlecake, hotcake, or flapjack depending on regional culture, is a flat, typically round cake made in a griddle or frying pan, hence the name. It is commonly considered a breakfast food in the United States. This food was known in Europe by the fifth century BCE, but some anthropologists believe its origins predate recorded history.
