Popcorn (S/F-JWCC)

Popcorn is a snack food created from popcorn kernels, most commonly varieties of flint corn. The kernel’s hull contains moisture, which expands when heated until the pressure causes the hull to rupture. The kernel then can rapidly puff up and breach through the hull, often reaching five times its original size, and can then be eaten. Popcorn is commonly served buttered or seasoned.
