Ragged Tooth (S/F)

Ragged Tooth is a disease that is most common in predatory dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor. The sickness occurs when the gum line becomes infected. A way for this to happen is if the tooth itself is broken during a hunt. With most dinosaurs they shed their teeth throughout their life. In this case the tooth rots and spreads bacteria throughout the mouth to cause an overall breakdown of soft tissue in the jaw. Often the dinosaurs will be dizzy and appear clumsy as they make fewer kills. In the end, infected animals risk death due to starvation.

While some dinosaurs tend to survive the loss of one or two teeth if they become infected it is a very painful experience for them. As such they should be constantly monitored and given antibiotics until the infection has passed.
