Styxosaurus is a genus of large plesiosaur in the family Elasmosauridae. Its fossils are found in North America. This reptile lived between 83.5 and 80.5 million years ago, during the Campanian age of the Cretaceous period. Two species are currently known, Styxosaurus snowii and the shorter-faced Styxosaurus browni.
