Topps Comics – Return to Jurassic Park

This series spans nine issues, the first four issues deal with the fallout after Jurassic Park had been abandoned. A team made by Hammond composed of Robert Muldoon, Edgar Prather, Alan Grant, and Ellie Sattler are sent to Isla Nublar to find out the status of the island since the US military, which has stone walled Hammond. What the team uncover begins a mission to uncover is a massive conspiracy as they work to discover what exactly the Green Flame is. Four issues from this point on are set as a sort of prequel situation turned sequel exploring the experiments of Dr. Gustavus through Abby and Derek and actually leads to a post clean-up scenario of these two heroes getting caught up in a conspiracy of their own too. Lastly Issue 9, better known as Jurassic Jam features a celebration of comic artists that also look at a prequel involving Muldoon and Nedry detailing difficulties with the Stegosaurus population and the escape of the Tyrannosaurus. Return to Jurassic Park’s main story line unfortunately would never have an ultimate conclusion as Topps Comics would move to put the series on an indefinite hiatus.
