The “Tranquilizer Pistol”, which, technically, is a Pardini .22 Caliber Target Pistol, is a rare, non-lethal firearm, capable of incapacitating a target for a brief amount of time.
Usually taking two rounds to stop a Velociraptor, with the magazine holding six, it is a relatively useless weapon. There is a noticeable pause between each shot, and once a target is tranquilized it merely stands completely still for a few moments. The player can still take damage from touching the animal’s jaws, and once it awakens it is even more aggressive, so it is best to drop the animal while it is frozen (if all else fails, the player can always beat it with a stick or other blunt object).
