Ultrasound imaging is a medical imaging technique which uses a probe to send pulses of ultrasound, which is beyond the range of human hearing, into a body and record the echoes to generate an image of the body interior. The resultant ultrasonic images are called sonograms. This is often used to observe the health of a fetus or baby within a pregnant person.
