The 2022 Valletta incident was a series of events which took place in Valletta, Malta in early 2022. During these events, a joint sting operation by French and American intelligence agents resulted in the arrest of the notorious criminal Soyona Santos, a broker in the Amber Clave black market, and the attempted arrest of Rainn Delacourt (who died during the incident). As events were unfolding, a fight in the marketplace resulted in the release of multiple de-extinct animals that had been illegally trafficked through Malta.
