A flotilla of warships escorted the return of the adult male and infant Tyrannosaurus back in 1997 as a precaution to prevent a repeat of the San Diego incident. Only one warship was deployed in the 2001 rescue operation of Dr. Grant and Kirby family and featured a contingent of amphibious landing craft and black hawk helicopters.
