The veiled chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus) is a species of lizard in the chameleon family Chamaeleonidae. It is native to the southwestern Arabian Peninsula, but is also the most common chameleon species in the global pet trade. They have become invasive in tropical and subtropical areas around the world.
