Diprotodon is a genus of marsupial mammals in the family Diprotodontidae. Its remains are found in Australia. This animal lived from 1.6 million until 44,000 years ago, from the Calabrian to Meghalayan ages of the Quaternary period. One species, Diprotodon opatum, is known.
