Platybelodon is a genus of proboscidean in the family Amebelodontidae. Its fossils are found in Africa and Asia. It originally lived between 15 and 10 million years ago, during the Langhian to Tortonian ages of the Neogene period. There are several known species: Platybelodon danovi, Platybelodon grangeri, Platybelodon beliajevae, Platybelodon tongxinensis, and Platybelodon tetralophus.
