Bryce Dallas-Howard

Bryce Dallas-Howard, American actress and director, was born on March 2nd, 1981. She has starred in films such as Spider-Man 3Jurassic World, and Pete’s Dragon. She is the eldest daughter of director Ron Howard.

Biography/Career

Howard was born in Los Angeles, California, to director Ron Howard and writer Cheryl Howard Crew. They were raised devoid of film and television, despite their parents’ occupations, and instead were directed toward outside activities while growing up. However, when she was seven, she was allowed to play as an extra in one of her father’s movies, and that’s where it all started. She has three younger siblings; two sisters named Jocelyn and Paige, and a brother named Reed. They were raised in Westchester County, New York.

Bryce studied film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, during which she took part in the concept recording of the soon to be Broadway musical A Tale of Two Cities. After performing in various plays, she caught the eye of director M. Night Shyamalan, who cast her in his film The Village. She then went on to star in Shyamalan’s Lady in the Water and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3.

Howard has won an MTV Movie Award for her performance in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, as well as the Teen Choice Award for best female lead in a summer blockbuster in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. She has also been nominated for a Gold Globes award for Best Performance by an actress in a TV or made for TV movie for As You Like It.

Jurassic World

In 2015, Bryce starred in Colin Trevorrow’s hit Jurassic World as lead protagonist Claire Dearing, the fictional theme park’s senior assets manager. She also reprised her role as Claire in JA Bayona’s sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Both films have been her most financially successful films to date.

Alongside the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was the release of Jurassic World Evolution for all major consoles and PC. Howard returns to provide the voice acting for Claire in the game, with a special DLC entitled “Claire’s Sanctuary”, in which the player works with Dearing to save dinosaur species from Isla Nublar as Mt. Sibo begins to erupt and poison the dinosaurs from the ash and toxic fumes.

Howard will return to reprise her role as Claire Dearing in Jurassic World: Dominion now slated to premiere in theatres on June 10, 2022, after being delayed due to the Corona-Virus pandemic.
