Edward Drinker Cope (S/F)

Edward Drinker Cope (July 28, 1840 – April 12, 1897) was an American biologist known for his studies in paleontology, zoology, herpetology, ichthyology, and comparative anatomy. He made significant contributions to American paleontological science during a period of time known as the Bone Wars, during which he competed fiercely (and often destructively) with his rival Othniel Charles Marsh.
