Wolf (S/F)

The wolf (Canis lupus), also called the gray wolf or timber wolf, is a species of canine and the largest extant member of the family Canidae. There are more than thirty subspecies of wolf found all throughout the Northern Hemisphere, including both North America and Eurasia. The domestic dog is sometimes considered a subspecies of wolf. Wolves first evolved during the Middle Pleistocene age, about 810,000 years before modern history.
