Hampton was a guard posted at the InGen waterfront complex, who let Ian Malcolm and Sarah Harding past the gate after Randall refused to. Later, he informed them on the situation about the Tyrannosaur’s overdose of the tranquilizer antidote, and provided Sarah with the tranquilizer gun which she later used to shoot the Rex.
