Formerly known as “Majungatholus”, this abelisaurid theropod dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around seventy million years ago, in what is now the island of
Madagascar. Known for it’s stubby snout and unusually short arms, which are even shorter than that of Tyrannosaurus, this dinosaur was the top predator of it’s environment. Estimated to be around thirty feet long, ten feet tall and around three tons in weight, it is thought that, based on fossil evidence, this dinosaur was a cannibal.
According to the Jurassic World website, the DNA of Indominus Rex is composed of several large theropod dinosaur, one of which is Majungasaurus.
