Moeritherium sp. (L/M)

Moeritherium is a genus of herbivorous proboscideans in the family Moeritheriidae, related to modern elephants. It originally lived during the Priabonian age of the Eocene epoch during the Paleogene period, between 37 and 35 million years ago. Fossils are known from northern Africa. Five species have been discovered: Moeritherium lyonsi, Moeritherium gracile, Moeritherium trigodon, Moeritherium andrewsi, and Moeritherium chehbeurameuri.
