New Zealand Fur Seal (S/F)

The New Zealand fur seal (Arctocephalus forsteri), also known as the Australasian or long-nosed fur seal, or the kekeno, is a species of fur seal in the family Otariidae. It is found in southern Australia and New Zealand. Although it was historically hunted to near-extinction by European colonialists, its populations have recovered and it is now considered of Least Concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. They feed mainly on cephalopods, birds, and fish.
