Robotic Massage Chair (S/F-CCJW)

Robotic massage chairs are devices which use robotic technology to massage the body of a seated occupant, a substitute for employing a trained masseuse for the purpose. The massage is performed by electronic motor vibrations. Although the technology was developed in Japan some time before World War II, it would not hit the market until 1954, when chairs were first sold by Family Fujiryoki. Japan is still the largest producer of electric massage chairs, and some surveys suggest that over 20% of Japanese households own one.
