Dakosaurus sp. (L/M)

Dakosaurus is a genus of large marine crocodyliform in the family Metriorhynchidae. Its fossils are found in Europe and Latin America. This reptile originally lived during the Kimmeridgian age of the late Jurassic period and became extinct after the Valanginian age of the early Cretaceous, living from 157 to 137 million years ago. Two species, the European Dakosaurus maximus and the American Dakosaurus andiniensis, are known.
