The Glock 17 is a member of the Glock series of semiautomatic pistols produced by Austrian manufacturer Glock Ges.m.b.H. It is a polymer-framed short recoil-operated firearm originally manufactured in 1982 for Austrian police and military forces, now widely used around the world. The Glock 17 was the first of this line to be produced.
