Lasagna, also spelled lasagne, is a type of wide, flat sheet-like pasta which is used to make layered baked meals typically including meat, cheese, sauces and other fillings, and vegetables. It was invented in Italy during the Middle Ages, and may be one of the oldest kinds of pasta.
