These men and women are effectively in charge of InGen. Any decision must be passed by them. After the incident at Jurassic Park in mid-June 1993, several of these members moved to exploit the dinosaurs surviving on Isla Sorna in order to cover the financial losses they were suffering. Dr. John Hammond was able to stop them until an incident in 1997 where the Bowman family stumbled across the island and their daughter was injured. By move of a unanimous vote, Peter Ludlow took control of InGen and moved forward with the plans to take dinosaurs from Site B. The Board members were present at the dock in San Diego when the SS Venture 5888 crashed and began the events of the San Diego Incident.
