Nublar Dragonfly (S/F-CCJW)

An unidentified species of dragonfly, an insect in the order Anisoptera, is known from Isla Nublar and was recorded in a field guide kept by Darius Bowman in 2016. It probably represents one of many species of dragonflies found on the island. There are around 130 different dragonfly species known from Costa Rica; although the illustrations of the adult and nymph are not detailed enough to determine for sure, this species may be one of those found on the mainland or an endemic species to Isla Nublar. Considering the de-extinction projects that took place on Isla Nublar, it may even represent one or more dragonflies that had previously become extinct.
