Tarbosaurus is a genus of large tyrannosaurid theropod in the subfamily Tyrannosaurinae. Its fossils are found in Mongolia and China, and it lived during the Maastrichtian age of the late Cretaceous period between 70 and 66 million years ago. There is one known species, Tarbosaurus bataar.
